Tap Explosion was founded in 1994 by Gayle Greenbrook and is currently under the direction of Christina Chang. This professional tap company has had the honor of working with many tap greats and enjoys a special relationship with Mark Mendonca, Dianne Walker, and Sam Weber.
Tap Explosion has regular shows and has performed all over the Greater Bay Area.

In August 2011, Tap Explosion began a series of benefit concerts. Over the past 13 years, we have raised more than $25,000 in support of 6 organizations that are near and dear to our hearts. Please help us to support this year’s recipient, the Alzheimer’s Association.
Tap Explosion has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing research and providing support for those affected by Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association also offers vital resources, education, and a network of support for individuals and families affected by the disease. This collaboration aims to raise awareness and funds to drive breakthroughs in treatment and care. As part of the partnership, Tap Explosion will support The Longest Day event, which encourages participants to raise funds and engage in activities that honor those living with Alzheimer’s.
